People thought it was in 'bad taste' - durr! this is a film about the porn industry after all.
IMO, for what it's worth, I felt the VM was way too long anyway and would have benefitted from cutting down by AT LEAST half. It would be funnier and have more impact.
Did you find out which references people were particularly offended by?
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">haven't though a lot about music yet -- since it's a documentary it might not be appropriate, although we do have some "in film" footage which might require scoring.Quote:

Any chance you might let me and a friend do a bit of temporary composing for it.
Say you send me a scene or something and we can put something over it, see if you like it. A friend of mine really wants to get into film composing. He's quality, and might be able to do something piano or mood based.
Tell me what you think.
bug me in about a month's time and i might have something for you to score to.
Sorry man, thought you were making a movie.
Anyways, yeah, any stuff that does need scoring I can do.
So, what I have I missed-Is it a mockumentary or something? Or a documentary about you guys making a film, or what?
Crooked Features is a documentary about the making of Rod Shuffler's "Attack of the Clowns".
(yeah, it might actually be a mockumentary, but shhhhhh!)
principal photography has now wrapped. i give myself three months before the DVD/screener is completed.
it's been a great shoot, can't wait for the next one ....
hey, I got 25 minutes assembled so far! (the rough cut was two hours long!)
read about my slog here - there's a couple of shitty internet clips to download, one on the July 4th entry, another in the June archive. I'd be interested in feedback on the clips -- if they spark interest or incite apathy ... or are just too damned confusing.
cheers!
a new clip!

hello
Looks really good to me from watching some of your clips. A great lo budget idea, and you seem
to have managed to write in (and hidden) some pet rants into it.
I hope it comes together smoothly, best of luck getting the word out when its done, and selling the idea to peeps.
How will you distribute it?
Rod shuffler has a few ideas on where it's going, here (quicktime, 2.2MB)
